13 Militants Killed in Foiled Infiltration Attempts Along Pak-Afghan Border: ISPR
The incidents took place on April 28 and 29
Rawalpindi: (Web Desk) – Security forces killed at least 13 militants during two separate operations foiling infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the incidents took place on April 28 and 29, when groups of militants, described as “khwarij” belonging to the Indian-sponsored “Fitna al-Khwarij,” attempted to cross into Pakistan.
In Mohmand district, security forces detected the movement of a group attempting to infiltrate through the border. Troops engaged the militants in a precise and effective operation, killing eight of them on the spot.
In a separate incident in North Waziristan district, another infiltration attempt was foiled after an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the killing of five militants.
The ISPR statement said these incidents underscore Pakistan’s longstanding concerns regarding what it termed the failure of the Afghan Taliban government to ensure effective border management on its side. It urged Afghan authorities to fulfill their responsibilities and prevent the use of their territory for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
The statement further reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to defending the country’s borders. It added that sanitization operations are ongoing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining militants.

The military emphasized that the counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full force to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
