Transfers of IHC judges change provincial seniority structure

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The transfer of three judges from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to different provincial high courts has reshaped judicial seniority across the country, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

According to official sources, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, who previously held the position of the most senior judge at the Islamabad High Court, will now be placed 12th in the seniority list of the Lahore High Court after his transfer.

Justice Babar Sattar, earlier ranked third in the IHC seniority hierarchy, has been moved to the Peshawar High Court, where he will stand at sixth position in terms of seniority.

Similarly, Justice Saman Rafit Imtiaz, who was ranked sixth at the Islamabad High Court, will now take the 16th position following her transfer to the Sindh High Court.
