Pakistan, China urge US-Israel and Iran stop strikes, dialogue
Pakistan and China push for peace talks as war grows and global trade faces serious risks
Pakistan and China – (Web Desk) – Pakistan and China have asked the United States, Israel, and Iran to stop fighting and begin peace talks as soon as possible. They shared this message after a meeting between Ishaq Dar and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday, according to the Foreign Office.
The war has been going on for over a month. It started on February 28 and has affected many parts of the Middle East. It has also hurt the global economy. Oil and gas shipments through the Strait of Hormuz have been badly disrupted, creating problems worldwide.
During the meeting, both countries stressed the need to stop the violence right away. They also asked all sides to avoid making the conflict bigger. They said help must reach people affected by the war without delay.
Pakistan has been trying to calm the situation. It hosted ministers from Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt. It also helped pass messages between the US and Iran.
After the talks, Pakistan and China again said that dialogue is the only way forward. They said all countries should respect Iran and Gulf states’ sovereignty and security. They also urged everyone to avoid using force during talks.
Both sides called for the protection of civilians and important places like energy plants and water facilities. They also asked for safety of nuclear sites and strict respect for international law.

They highlighted the importance of the Strait of Hormuz. It is a key route for global trade and energy. They urged all parties to ensure safe movement of ships and crew and allow smooth passage for commercial vessels.
They also stressed the need to restore normal passage through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible.
Further, the two nations called for efforts to “practice true multilateralism” to jointly strengthen the primacy of the United Nations.
They urged the Iran war parties to support the conclusion of an agreement for establishing a comprehensive peace framework and “realising lasting peace”.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump told aides he is willing to end the military campaign against Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed and leave a complex operation to reopen it for a later date, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing administration officials.
