KSE-100 Index Rallies Over 1,622 Points in Midday Trading

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed strong buying activity on Thursday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained more than 1,622 points during midday trading, signalling improved investor confidence.

By midday, the KSE-100 Index was trading at 185,672 points, up from the previous closing level of 184,050 points. During the session, the index touched an intraday high of 185,890.52 points and a low of 184,840.56 points, maintaining upward momentum throughout the day.

Trading volume stood at 264.97 million shares, while the value of shares traded reached Rs24.65 billion. Broad-based participation was seen across major sectors as the market remained open for trading.

Market analysts linked the rally to continued foreign investor interest, expectations of stable macroeconomic conditions and a favourable corporate earnings outlook in selected sectors. Banking, energy and fertiliser shares were expected to be among the leading contributors to the gain, although detailed company-wise data was awaited.
