Aima Baig Stuns Fans With Soulful Tajdar-e-Haram Rendition
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Aima Baig has captivated audiences with her moving rendition of the devotional masterpiece “Tajdar-e-Haram.” Sharing the performance on Instagram, she revealed that singing the Naat had long been a personal aspiration. Although she humbly noted that she may not have fully done justice to the timeless piece, she expressed a deep sense of inner peace after finally performing it. She also encouraged listeners to use earphones to truly experience the emotion behind her vocals.
“Tajdar-e-Haram” holds a special place in the world of devotional music, often recited as a Naat in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The iconic Qawwali was originally composed and popularized by the legendary Sabri Brothers — Ghulam Farid Sabri and Maqbool Ahmed Sabri — whose powerful voices made it a spiritual classic. Years later, Atif Aslam introduced the masterpiece to a global audience with his celebrated performance on Coke Studio Season 8. The title translates to “King of the Haram,” and its poetic verses beautifully blend Urdu, Persian, and Braj Bhasha.
Over time, the piece has been presented both as a full musical Qawwali and as a traditional Naat without instrumental accompaniment by artists including Owais Raza Qadri and Mehmood Ul Hassan Ashrafi. Aima’s interpretation has been widely appreciated for maintaining the spiritual essence of the original while adding her own heartfelt expression to the revered composition.
In related news, Aima recently confirmed ongoing speculation about a collaboration with Atif Aslam. Posting on her Instagram stories, she hinted at the project by writing, “Some rumours are true,” effectively ending weeks of online buzz. In another update, she called it the “Biggest collab of 2026,” raising anticipation for what many are already calling one of the most exciting musical partnerships of the year.
