Punjab Government Schools Annual Exams Begin From March 9
Lahore (Web Desk) – Annual examinations for public sector schools across Punjab will commence on March 9, 2026, following the official release of the date sheet by authorities.
According to the announced timetable, examinations will be organized in two daily sessions. The morning session will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the afternoon session will run from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. On Fridays, however, the second shift will begin at 2:00 pm and conclude at 5:00 pm.
Karachi University Postpones Exams, Classes Suspended
As per the schedule, first-grade students will appear for their English paper on March 9. Second-grade students will sit for General Knowledge, while third graders will take Islamic Studies and Ethics. Mathematics has been scheduled for fourth graders, whereas fifth-grade students will attempt Islamic Studies and Ethics. Sixth and eighth grades will have Mathematics exams, and seventh graders are set to appear in Computer Science and Arabic.
The examination plan also covers assessments in Quran Recitation, Quran Translation, Tajweed rules, along with dedicated evaluations for reading, listening, and speaking skills.
Education board Chief Executive Officers have been directed to strictly implement Standard Operating Procedures during the end-of-year School-Based Assessment (SBA) examinations to ensure transparency and discipline throughout the process.
