PMDC reschedules MDCAT 2026 exam date to September

MDCAT 2026 postponed as PMDC announces new exam date

Karachi: (Staff Reporter) The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has revised the schedule for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, announcing that the examination will now be conducted on September 20, 2026 instead of the previously scheduled date of August 16.

According to a statement issued by PMDC, the decision was made on the directives of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to ensure that the examination process is conducted in a more organised, secure, transparent, and convenient manner for candidates.

The council clarified that only the examination date has been changed, while all other rules, requirements, and arrangements for MDCAT 2026 will remain unchanged. PMDC added that any future modifications, if required, will be communicated through a separate official notification.

The council has advised students, parents, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to regularly check PMDC’s official platforms and authorised media channels for updates, instructions, and announcements regarding the examination.

PMDC expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the schedule change and thanked candidates and stakeholders for their cooperation and understanding.
