WhatsApp Testing New Feature for Easier Access to Status Updates

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – WhatsApp is reportedly working on improving its Status Update feature to make it more accessible for users. According to WABetaInfo, the messaging app plans to bring Status updates directly to the top app bar, the area where your profile icon is displayed. This will allow users to view Status updates without leaving the chat tab.

With this new feature, contacts you interact with most frequently will appear at the top of the chat tab, giving you instant access to their updates. The report also mentions that WhatsApp is testing multiple ways to provide faster access to Status updates.

Additionally, scrolling down in the chat bar may display contacts’ Status updates in a single row for easier viewing.

The feature is still under testing and is not yet available for beta users, so there is no official timeline for when it will be rolled out to all users.
