KP CM Afridi says hiding Imran Khan’s illness amounts to “medical terrorism.”
KP CM Afridi condemns Imran Khan’s treatment, calls it “medical terrorism,” vows to support family and peaceful PTI protests.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Thursday expressed serious concerns about the treatment of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, calling the situation alarming for the nation.
Speaking to the media, the PTI leader raised several issues, including the imprisonment of Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, and the denial of visitation rights for his sisters. Afridi also accused authorities of spraying “chemical water” on them every Tuesday, calling it a new level of oppression.
He further criticized the medical care provided to the former prime minister, alleging that his eye surgery was performed without his personal doctor and in a facility where his family was not allowed. Afridi described these actions as “medical terrorism” against Imran Khan.
The PTI leader vowed to continue standing by the founder’s family and recognized the sacrifices of Aleema Khan and other party workers. Afridi also praised opposition leaders Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas for being entrusted with responsibilities by the founder to protest and negotiate on behalf of the party.

Referring to recent events, Afridi called February 8 a “black day” in Pakistan’s history, comparing the political oppression to the years 1971 and 1973. He condemned the removal of the party’s election symbol and the alleged manipulation of Form 47 under force.
Afridi emphasized that despite the provocation, the PTI has not taken the law into its own hands but remains committed to legal and peaceful protest.
