This marks India’s biggest Test defeat on home soil in history. South Africa also drew their series in Pakistan 1-1 earlier this year, showing their dominance in subcontinental conditions.
With this series win, India has now been whitewashed twice at home in the past 12 months — previously, New Zealand had whitewashed India 3-0 in November last year.
