PCB Plans PSL Season 11 After Ramadan; Possible Addition of Two Teams

Due to the T20 World Cup, it is not possible to hold the PSL in February and March

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is keen to hold the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11 next year in April and May after Ramadan, while a proposal to include two additional teams is also under consideration this time.

According to sources, several important issues are still pending between the PSL franchises and the PCB and a formal meeting on the next edition has not been held yet.

Due to the T20 World Cup, it is not possible to hold the PSL in February and March, as the Pakistan team is scheduled to play three T20 matches against Australia and two Test matches against Bangladesh during this period.

After the World Cup and PSL, three ODI matches will be played between Pakistan and Australia, while ODI and T20 series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are also scheduled.

It should be noted that the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played from March 15 to May 31, so once again there is a possibility of a possible clash in the schedules of the two major leagues, due to which many foreign players may have to choose one of the leagues.
