Punjab Announces Full Scholarships for Top Students

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved full scholarship funds for top-performing students across the province, with the government set to cover all their educational expenses at institutions of their choice.

The announcement was made by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat during a ceremony organized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Saturday to honor students who secured top positions in the Matric and Intermediate examinations.

Hayat said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to rewarding merit and supporting talented students in continuing their education without financial hurdles.

During the event, the minister, along with Chairman of the Task Force Committee Muzammil Mahmood, Higher Education Secretary Ghulam Fareed, Additional Secretary Boards Nauman Jameel, Lahore Board Secretary Rizwan Nazir, and Controller of Examinations Tauseef-ur-Rehman, distributed laptops among the position holders in recognition of their academic excellence.
