Israel loses six soldiers in separate Gaza and Jordan incidents.

A powerful roadside bomb in Rafah and a shooting at the Jordan border claimed the lives of six soldiers.

Israel – Gaza – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – On Thursday, Israel suffered a difficult day. Six soldiers were killed in two separate attacks. The first happened in Gaza. A powerful bomb exploded next to a military vehicle in the city of Rafah. Four soldiers inside the vehicle were killed in the blast. Their names were released by the army. They were all young officers in their twenties.

Later, another attack occurred at a border crossing with Jordan. A truck driver from Jordan opened fire on people at the crossing. He shot and stabbed before being stopped by security. Two Israeli soldiers lost their lives in this violent event. The army is now investigating if the driver had any helpers.

Israeli forces continue to operate in Rafah. They are searching for hidden tunnels used by Hamas fighters. While the area is mostly under control, some fighting remains. These deaths mark the first Israeli combat losses in Gaza in over a week.
