Saudi Arabia Issues Potential Danger Alert for Jazan

Saudi Arabia Warns Jazan Residents of Potential Danger Near Yemen Border

RIYADH: (News Desk) – Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense agency issued an alert on Sunday warning residents in the southern Jazan province of a “potential danger” amid heightened security concerns along the Yemen border. The warning was issued through the National Early Warning Platform, which has previously been used ahead of potential attacks.

The alert comes amid renewed tensions involving Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement. The Houthis have recently claimed attacks on Saudi energy facilities, including the Jazan refinery, while Saudi authorities have responded with security measures.

The latest developments follow the collapse of a long-running period of relative calm in Yemen. Fighting between Houthi forces and forces aligned with the internationally recognised Yemeni government has intensified, raising concerns about a broader escalation in the region.

Saudi authorities have urged residents in affected areas to follow official safety instructions and rely on verified information as regional tensions continue.
