Iran Announces $30,000 Reward for Capturing or Killing US Troops

Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Offers $30,000 Reward for Killing or Capturing US Soldiers

TEHRAN: (News Desk) – Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Amir Hatami has announced a reward of $30,000 for anyone who kills or captures and hands over a US military personnel, according to Iranian state media. The reward, equivalent to 5 billion tomans, would reportedly be doubled if the act is carried out by an Iranian woman.

Hatami said the initiative was developed following what he described as a large number of requests from people seeking to financially support Iran’s military efforts. He did not specify where or when such an action was expected to take place.

The announcement comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington and follows months of conflict and sporadic clashes in the region, particularly around southern Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.
