
Baker Extends Support to Flood-Affected Families in Pakistan
Strengthening US-Pakistan Relations Through Diplomacy and Economic Collaboration
Pakistan – US – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) -Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, met Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss key bilateral matters. The discussion covered important topics like extradition of US-wanted individuals, border security, counter-narcotics efforts, Coast Guard support, and forensic collaboration to improve law enforcement cooperation.
During the meeting, Ambassador Baker expressed heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of lives and property caused by recent floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. She assured continued US support during these challenging times.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed former US President Donald Trump’s statement about Pakistan’s growing oil reserves, calling it a positive step. He also invited US investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s oil sector and other industries, promising full government facilitation and support.
Ambassador Baker reaffirmed that the United States highly values its partnership with Pakistan and is committed to strengthening cooperation across multiple areas, including trade, security, and energy.

The meeting was also attended by Federal Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha and Additional Secretary Major General Noor Wali Khan.
Earlier, US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker met Minister of State for Religious Affairs Kheal Das Kohistani. According to the US Embassy spokesperson in Islamabad, discussions focused on religious freedom and interfaith harmony. The Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote respect for all religions and acknowledged its rich religious and cultural diversity.
