Goyang City Hosts Grand Celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day

The Mayor of Goyang City extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan.

Goyang City (News Desk) – A vibrant and grand event marked the celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day in Goyang City, jointly organized by the Pakistan Business Association Korea (PBA) and the Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan Students Association. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of Pakistanis as well as Korean community members, showcasing a powerful message of friendship and unity.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a Naat in honor of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Both the Pakistani and Korean national anthems were played, as attendees stood respectfully to express their devotion to their respective nations.

Guests of Honor and Diplomatic Highlights

  • The Mayor of Goyang City extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan. In his address, he reaffirmed his commitment to deepening Pakistan–Korea cultural and economic ties.

  • H.E. Syed Moazzam Ali Shah, Ambassador of Pakistan to South Korea, praised the role of the Pakistan Business Association, calling the Pakistani diaspora “unofficial ambassadors” whose efforts can significantly elevate bilateral relations.

Key Highlights of the Event

  • Two MoUs were signed to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Korea — one with the Goyang Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the other with PCCK, marking a milestone in business and trade collaboration.

  • Pakistani artists Ali Abbas and Manahil Abrar, who traveled from Pakistan, captivated the audience with soul-stirring musical performances.

  • Renowned YouTuber Mr. Alex Ki showcased a documentary on Pakistan’s tourist destinations and his educational initiatives. His contribution received a warm round of applause.

  • PBA leaders — President Rahim Shah, Chairman Mudassar Cheema, General Secretary Mian Sagheer Ahmad, and Vice President Muhammad Kazim — delivered powerful speeches highlighting the importance of community unity, independence, and stronger Pakistan–Korea relations.

The evening concluded with a moving prayer led by Allama Raza Qadri of Minhaj-ul-Quran, offering blessings for Pakistan’s peace and progress.
