The PTA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining connectivity and supporting the public in the wake of the natural disaster.
ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced on Sunday that over 72% of telecom sites affected by recent floods have been successfully restored.
In an official statement, the PTA confirmed that restoration efforts are ongoing in collaboration with various telecom operators to fully reinstate mobile network services in the flood-affected regions.
“All possible measures are being taken to restore services in the remaining areas hit by floods,” the authority assured.
As part of the relief efforts, mobile operators are providing free on-net voice calls to users in flood-hit zones, enabling affected individuals to stay in touch with loved ones.
Additionally, the PTA stated that emergency services remain accessible, and users are able to make calls even with zero balance, ensuring uninterrupted communication during the crisis.
