Thousands rally across Israel, demanding end to Gaza war
Israelis Protest Nationwide Demanding Peace, Hostage Release, and End to Gaza War
Israel-(Special-Correnspondent / Web Desk)-Across Israel, thousands of people joined a nationwide protest to demand an end to the Gaza war and the safe return of hostages. Families of those held in Gaza led the call, asking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach an agreement that would bring their loved ones home. Demonstrators filled the streets of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other cities, waving flags, holding pictures of hostages, and calling for peace. Businesses and community groups showed support, with some allowing workers to strike and join the rallies. The message was clear: people want life, safety, and unity to come before war.
Among those showing support in Tel Aviv was Hollywood actress Gal Gadot, known worldwide for her role as Wonder Woman. She met with hostage families, adding her voice to their cause and drawing international attention to the protest. Political leaders also joined the gatherings, including opposition leader Yair Lapid, who praised the spirit of solidarity. While the protests were filled with music, chants, and drums, they were briefly interrupted when air raid sirens warned of a missile attack from Yemen. The missile was intercepted, and the demonstrations continued, proving the determination of people who want peace and an end to the suffering.

Despite the strong public outcry, Prime Minister Netanyahu said the military will continue with its plan to seize Gaza City. Families of hostages fear this decision could put their loved ones in even greater danger. Israeli officials believe around 50 hostages remain in Gaza, with only about 20 thought to be alive. As the war continues, more than 61,000 Palestinians and over 400 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives. Protesters and families are now calling louder than ever for a ceasefire, the return of hostages, and a future built on hope, compassion, and peace for all.
