Khyber Pakhtunkhwa- (Special Correspondent/Web desk) Four policemen were martyred and seven injured in multiple terrorist attacks across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late Monday night. One of the deadliest strikes occurred in Dir’s Panah Kot area, where unknown gunmen ambushed a Quick Response Force mobile returning from patrol at about 2 a.m. The attack left three officers dead instantly and six more wounded. DPO Syed Bilal confirmed the gunmen shot from a concealed location. The injured and the bodies were shifted to DHQ Hospital as security teams cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt for the attackers.
In Peshawar’s suburban areas, terrorists attacked two police check-posts and a police station. According to CCPO Qasim, the targets were the Matni Adezai check-post, Nasir Bagh Sakhi Pul check-post, and Hassan Khel police station. Police successfully repelled the attacks on Matni and Nasir Bagh, but in Hassan Khel, one policeman was martyred and another injured.

In the Khyber district, an explosive device planted along the wall of the Landi Kotal DSP sub-office went off, causing partial damage but no casualties. Another bomb exploded near a house in Goonji Kallay, damaging a guest room. Police said both blasts happened around 1 a.m., and the attackers escaped before security forces arrived. Investigations are underway.
