Scooter Braun Praises Justin Bieber’s New Album ‘Swag’ as His “Most Authentic” Yet

Los Angeles – Music mogul Scooter Braun has broken his silence on Justin Bieber’s newly released album Swag, calling it the singer’s “most authentically Justin Bieber album to date.”

A day after the 31-year-old Canadian pop star dropped his seventh studio album — a follow-up to 2021’s Justice and his Freedom EP — Braun took to Instagram Stories to share his reaction, describing the project as “beautiful, raw, and truly him.”

“Been having a beautiful start to the weekend and been getting a lot of texts about how I feel about Justin’s new album.. so I will just leave this here,” Braun wrote. “This is without a doubt, the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date. It’s beautiful, raw, and truly him. And that matters.”

Braun, who famously discovered Bieber on YouTube in 2008 when the singer was just 13, continued:

“I’ve had the privilege of witnessing his growth for almost two decades. Along every journey, there comes a time when an artist fully steps into their own — and that’s what he’s done here. He’s poured his soul into this project, and you can feel it in every single run.”

Braun also named Daisies as his favorite track from the album, praising Bieber’s vocals as “the best in the world.”

Swag features collaborations with a range of artists including Gunna, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, Lil B, Druski, Dijon, Eddie Benjamin, and gospel legend Marvin Winans. The album touches on deeply personal themes such as Bieber’s mental health journey and his relationship with his wife, Hailey Bieber.

Despite their close professional bond for over 15 years, Bieber and Braun parted ways in 2022 following reported financial disputes. Their split became more evident earlier this year when Bieber unfollowed Braun on social media in January.

Still, Braun’s latest comments appear to put any lingering tension to rest — at least publicly — as he showed nothing but admiration for Bieber’s growth and artistry.
