Islamabad – Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has reiterated the government’s firm commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s national immunization efforts during a high-level meeting with senior health officials and representatives from the Dopasi Foundation. The meeting focused on expanding the reach and effectiveness of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), emphasizing media engagement and targeted community outreach as essential tools in achieving full vaccine coverage across the country.
Minister Kamal stressed the importance of ensuring that accurate and life-saving health information reaches every segment of society. “We are fully committed to safeguarding our population through comprehensive immunization and improving public health outcomes nationwide,” he stated.
Building on this commitment, the Dopasi Foundation hosted a landmark gathering that united members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) to officially launch the Parliamentary Caucus on Global Health and Ending TB. This cross-party initiative is designed to drive legislative reform, promote equitable healthcare, and spur grassroots action—especially in marginalized and underserved regions.
A major highlight of the event was the live demonstration of a cutting-edge, ultra-portable AI-powered X-ray device, designed to significantly enhance tuberculosis (TB) detection in remote areas. The symbolic handover of this breakthrough diagnostic tool featured special guest Mickeal Carrniee, a multi Guinness World Record holder, who lent international support to Pakistan’s fight against TB.
