PTI Postpones Tarnool Rally After Islamabad Administration Suspends Permit

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the postponement of its scheduled rally in Tarnool following the Islamabad administration’s suspension of the necessary permit (NOC).
During a press conference with PTI leaders, Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that the rally will now be held after Ashura Day. He emphasized PTI’s commitment to lawful conduct, noting that they had filed a petition in the High Court to address the issue. Despite the setback, he assured supporters that the rally would proceed lawfully after Ashura.
Opposition Leader Umar Ayub expressed frustration, highlighting that the rally had initially received permission from the Islamabad administration, only for the Deputy Commissioner to later overturn the Chief Commissioner’s order. Ayub reiterated PTI’s intention to hold the rally following court approval.
Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser criticized the suspension of the permit, questioning the legality of the order. He condemned the actions as leading the country toward anarchy and affirmed PTI’s dedication to constitutional and lawful governance. Qaiser also addressed the PTI’s opposition to the tax budget and reaffirmed their commitment to their political and legal struggle.
Qaiser further challenged the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to address the alleged abuses against PTI, accusing PPP of maintaining a double standard.
Despite the postponed rally, PTI leaders remain resolute in their mission to uphold the principles of Quaid-i-Azam and advocate for a constitutionally governed Pakistan.
