Turkish Agency’s Heartwarming Gesture: Iftar Dinner with Orphan and Disabled Children in Pakistan

Karachi: In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) orchestrated a memorable iftar dinner for 150 orphaned and disabled children in Karachi, Pakistan. This uplifting event, held in collaboration with nearly 20 NGOs, aimed to spread joy and foster a sense of community during the holy month of Ramadan.
The iftar program, graced by esteemed guests including Sindh Province Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Sindh Province Governor Kamran Tessori, was a testament to the importance of caring for vulnerable members of society. Participants were not only treated to a delicious meal but also received special Eid gift sets, adding an extra touch of happiness to their evening.
Expressing gratitude for the initiative, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori underscored the significance of supporting orphaned and special needs children, acknowledging the efforts of NGOs and extending heartfelt appreciation to Turkey for their invaluable contribution.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the honor of being part of such a meaningful event and commending the organizers for their dedication to serving the community.
Consul General of Turkey in Karachi, Cemal Sangu, highlighted the moral imperative of extending compassion and assistance to those in need, emphasizing the essence of Ramadan’s teachings.
Halil İbrahim Başaran, TİKA Karachi Coordinator, recognized the indispensable role of NGOs in social development and expressed gratitude for their collaboration in making the iftar program a success.

In a collaboration with Pakistan Baitulmal, TİKA also organized a generous iftar dinner for approximately 1000 disadvantaged individuals in Karachi, underscoring their dedication to alleviating hardship and spreading joy.
