18 Soldiers Martyred, 23 Terrorists Killed

The attack, carried out by terrorists attempting to establish illegal roadblocks, was aimed at disrupting the peaceful environment of Balochistan. Security sources confirmed that the attackers, acting on the orders of “inimical and hostile forces,” targeted innocent civilians in an effort to destabilize the region. However, the FC personnel responded swiftly and launched a successful counter-operation, neutralizing the threat. The operation resulted in the deaths of 12 terrorists and ensured the safety of the local population.
In a heartfelt statement, the armed forces honored the martyrdom of the soldiers, highlighting their gallantry in the face of danger. “Our brave sons fought gallantly, making the ultimate sacrifice for the protection of their fellow citizens,” the statement read, underscoring the unwavering resolve of the security forces to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty.
In the aftermath, extensive sanitization operations were carried out in the area to track down and apprehend any remaining perpetrators, facilitators, and abettors. A total of 23 terrorists were killed in Balochistan in just 24 hours, including 11 terrorists killed in a separate operation in Harnai district.
President Asif Zardari strongly condemned the attack, expressing his deep grief over the martyrdom of the FC personnel. He praised the bravery of the forces for eliminating 12 terrorists during the operation, affirming that the nation stands united against any forces attempting to disrupt peace in Balochistan. “Terrorist elements aim to destabilize our land, but our forces will continue to stand firm and suppress these anti-national elements,” he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his sorrow, commending the bravery of the soldiers and reaffirming the country’s commitment to eradicating terrorism. “Our fight against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated from Pakistan,” he declared.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers, praising them for their immense sacrifices. “These brave sons have achieved immortality,” he said, emphasizing the pride the nation feels in their heroic actions.
In Balochistan, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan all offered condolences and praised the courage of the martyred soldiers. They expressed deep sorrow over the loss while reaffirming the nation’s unity in the fight against terrorism.
