Karachi – (Special Correspondent/Web Desk) – President Asif Ali Zardari held a Zardari Chinese delegation meeting on Monday to review joint projects between the Sindh government and Chinese companies. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister House in Karachi. Officials say the talks aimed to speed up pending deals and clear any leftover paperwork.
The president met with teams from two Chinese firms. One was Anhui Nengtong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The other was Luoyang Modern Biology Group. The China-Pakistan-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Association helped set up the meeting.
During the talks, both sides looked at how far earlier agreements had come. They also talked about next steps to move things forward faster.
A Wide Range of Projects
The president got updates on several ongoing plans. These cover electric vehicle charging stations, animal vaccines, and tools to track livestock. Other areas include farming technology, health services, and fire safety gear.
Zardari said his government stands fully behind Chinese businesses working in Pakistan. He assured the visiting teams that officials would help remove any barriers in their way.
The president pointed to Pakistan’s long-standing bond with China. He called it an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. He also said Islamabad remains firm in growing trade links through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, known as CPEC.
He noted that CPEC has now entered a new phase. This next stage, called CPEC 2.0, is already in motion.
Karachi and Hyderabad in Focus
Zardari highlighted two cities as key spots for future growth. He said Karachi and Hyderabad both hold strong promise for electric vehicle infrastructure.
He also pointed to the Karachi-Hyderabad M-9 corridor. This route, he said, could become a starting point for charging stations between cities. Such a network would support more electric vehicles on Pakistan’s roads.
Officials from both sides agreed to keep working closely together. The goal is to turn these plans into real, working projects on the ground.
Sindh’s government has shown steady interest in Chinese partnerships. This latest meeting adds to a growing list of deals covering energy, health, and farming. With CPEC 2.0 now active, more such talks are likely in the months ahead.
The president’s office said further updates on project timelines would follow soon. For now, both governments appear focused on turning talk into action.
