US Rejects India Protest Over Ship Missile Strike

Washington: (Web Desk) – The United States has reportedly rejected India’s protest over a missile strike on a commercial vessel and refused to issue an apology for the deaths of Indian crew members, according to media reports.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio conveyed to India that commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz must comply with directives issued by US forces operating in the region.

He further stated that any violations involving the closure of the strategic waterway or the illegal transport of Iranian oil would not be tolerated.

According to the report, India’s Foreign Minister had raised the issue with his US counterpart, formally protesting the incident in which three Indian nationals were reportedly killed.
