Non-Payment of Electricity Dues Will Not Be Tolerated, Warns IESCO Chief

Islamabad: (Web Desk) -The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has intensified its crackdown on consumers with outstanding electricity dues, warning that non-payment of bills will not be tolerated.

According to a statement issued by IESCO, Chief Executive Officer Engr. Ch. Khalid Mahmood said special recovery teams have been formed to accelerate the collection of pending dues and safeguard national resources while ensuring an uninterrupted electricity supply across the region.

He stated that electricity disconnections and legal action against defaulters are also part of the ongoing campaign. The CEO urged consumers to clear their outstanding bills promptly to avoid inconvenience and potential legal consequences.

Engr. Khalid Mahmood advised consumers not to wait until the due date and instead make timely payments as a civic responsibility. He emphasized that consumer cooperation is vital for the efficient operation of the power distribution system and the provision of quality services.
