BAGHDAD: (Web Desk) – A deadly airstrike in western Iraq has killed at least ten fighters, including a senior commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), according to international media reports.

The strike, reportedly carried out by the United States, targeted a PMF headquarters in Anbar province. Among those killed was commander Saad al-Baji, while around 30 others were seriously injured.

Sources indicate the attack occurred during a high-level meeting of PMF commanders, amplifying the impact of the strike. The PMF, while officially integrated into Iraq’s security forces, includes factions aligned with Iran.
