Umar Akmal, Mohammad Amir among others issued NOCs by PCB

The South African tour consists of two test matches, three one-day internationals (ODIs) and three T20 internationals.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued no objection certificates (NOCs) to a select group of cricketers, including Mohammad Amir and Umar Akmal.

This will enable the cricketers to compete in the international franchise leagues, including the Bangladesh Premiere League (BPL), and the newly established, Lanka T20 Super League.

Among the players receiving NOCs for the Lanka T20 Super League are Mohammad Amir, Asif Ali, Umar Akmal and Imran Khan Sr.

Mohamad Amir is set to join the Jaffna Titans for the tournament, scheduled from December 11 till December 22.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali chose to join the Colombo Jaguars.

The Lanka T20 Super League  consists of teams so far: Jaffna Titans, Colombo Jaguars, Galle Marvels, Nuwara Eliya Kings, Hambantota Bangla Tigers and Kandy Bolts.

Meanwhile, Faheem Ashraf is set to participate in the BPL, which is set to run from December 30, 2024 till February 7, 2025.

All five players who received the NOCs by the PCB are not part of active Pakistan men’s national cricket team. They are not scheduled to participate in the upcoming tour of South Africa, which is scheduled to run from December 10, 2024 till January 7, 2025.
