UAE Demands Iran Pay Full Reparations for Gulf Attacks

UAE Demands Iran Pay Up as Gulf Ceasefire Hangs by a Thread

UAE  vs Iran – (Web Desk) – The UAE spoke out on Wednesday. It said Iran must pay for the damage it caused during its attacks on Gulf countries. The UAE also wants to know how the ceasefire will actually stop Iran from attacking again. And it wants guarantees that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen fully.

The US and Iran recently agreed to pause the fighting for two weeks. But that pause is already shaky. Iran says it is still being attacked. Several Gulf countries, including the UAE, say Iran has continued to strike them.

This all started when the US and Israel hit Iran hard, taking out much of its top leadership. Iran then fired back, launching wave after wave of attacks across the Gulf. The UAE was hit the hardest out of any country in the region.

The UAE government made its position very clear. It wants Iran to stop all hostilities right now, not just on paper. It also wants the Strait of Hormuz opened back up, with no conditions attached.

On top of that, the UAE said Iran must be held fully responsible for everything it destroyed. That means paying for the damage it caused, including repairs and compensation for those affected.

Iran’s onslaught rattled life in a region long seen as a safe haven in a tumultuous Middle East, targeting US assets but also civilian infrastructure including airports, energy infrastructure as well as landmarks, ports, hotels and residential areas.

The UAE called for addressing Iran’s “full range of threats including its nuclear capabilities, ballistic missiles, drones” and proxies, while “ending threats to freedom of navigation, as well as economic warfare and piracy in the Strait of Hormuz”.

Iran’s attacks have soured ties between Gulf states and the Islamic republic after years of detente between the former foes.

It also pushed the UAE to take a more hawkish tone on Iran, recalling its ambassador to the Islamic republic and closing its embassy there.

Iranians have been barred from entering the UAE with only a few exceptions, Dubai-based airlines said, while travel agencies reported high visa rejections for Iranians since the Middle East war began.

Iran-linked entities, including a hospital, schools and a community centre have also been shut in Dubai.
