Trump Claims Netanyahu Wants to Keep Him Involved in the War

Trump Questions Netanyahu’s Iran Briefings, Says US Already Monitoring Nuclear Activities

WASHINGTON: (Special Reporter) – US President Donald Trump has said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to keep Washington involved in the Iran conflict, adding that he does not require additional intelligence from Netanyahu regarding Iran’s nuclear programme.

Speaking to US media, Trump said Netanyahu should present information about Iran’s nuclear activities to the international community rather than only sharing it with him. He claimed that Israel’s efforts to provide intelligence were linked to a desire to maintain US involvement in the conflict.

Trump said the United States was closely monitoring developments related to Iran’s nuclear programme and claimed that Washington was aware of activities at the Koh Kolang site. He downplayed the threat, saying the matter was not a major concern and claimed that Iran’s nuclear facilities had already been destroyed.

The US president also warned that Washington could take further action against the Koh Kolang site if Iran does not reach an agreement.

The comments came ahead of a planned White House meeting between Trump and Netanyahu, during which the Israeli prime minister is expected to discuss Iran’s nuclear activities and regional security concerns.
