Travel Woes: Extensive Flight Disruptions Hit Airports Nationwide

Three Key Flights Canceled, Over 24 Delayed; International Routes Hit Hard

Travelers across major airports in the country experienced major disruptions today as numerous flights faced cancellations and delays due to ongoing administrative issues within airlines.

Both domestic and international flights have been impacted, leading to considerable inconvenience and raising questions about the operational efficiency of the airlines involved.

Three flights were canceled, including PK-185 from Lahore to Sharjah and PK-632 from Islamabad to Sukkur.

In addition, over 24 flights, covering both domestic and international routes, have been delayed. Affected flights include those to Karachi, Dubai, Baghdad, Istanbul, Faisalabad, Lahore, Muscat, Madinah, and Jeddah.

Notable delays include:
– Najaf to Karachi (PK-202): Delayed by six hours.
– Islamabad to Sharjah (PA-213): Delayed by seven and a half hours.
– Lahore to Kuwait City: Delayed by five and a half hours.
– Islamabad to Karachi (PA-201): Delayed by five hours.
– Islamabad to Dubai (ER-701): Delayed by four hours.
– Islamabad to Abu Dhabi (PA-207): Scheduled to depart four hours late at 8:45pm.

Additionally, flights from Islamabad to Karachi, Istanbul, and Sharjah have been delayed. International flights from Pakistan to destinations such as Dubai, Muscat, Madinah, Jeddah, and London have also faced significant delays. For example, flights BA-260 and BA-261 from Islamabad to London were delayed by two and a half hours, while flights from Lahore to Muscat, Dubai, and Jeddah were delayed by over an hour.

Flights from Jeddah to Faisalabad, Karachi, Dubai, Peshawar, and Ras Al Khaimah have experienced delays of up to one and a half hours.

The widespread disruptions have caused frustration among passengers, many of whom are left waiting for extended periods at airports with limited communication from the airlines about the reasons for the delays.
