14-Year-Old Girl Dies After Alleged Quack Treatment in Sargodha

SARGODHA: (Our Correspondent) – A 14-year-old girl, Aleeza Fatima, died on Tuesday after allegedly receiving a wrong injection from a quack at a medical store in Sargodha.
The incident occurred at a medical store located in Block No. 18 of the city, where the girl’s family accused the healthcare provider of serious negligence.
According to the victim’s mother, her daughter’s condition worsened during a dressing procedure. She stated in her application submitted to police that the girl was given two injections during treatment, after which her health rapidly deteriorated.
The girl was immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital (DHQ), where she remained on a ventilator for three days before passing away.
The victim’s mother has called for an impartial investigation into the incident, requesting authorities to uncover the facts and take action against those responsible.
She also urged officials to take strict measures against unqualified medical practitioners to prevent similar incidents in the future and requested registration of a first information report (FIR) against the alleged responsible individuals.
