Police Detain Suspects in Abduction and Theft of Acclaimed Playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar
Lahore-On Wednesday, the Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) denied the bail application of Amina Urooj, who was arrested in connection with the honey-trapping case involving Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
Judge Arshad Javed of the ATC delivered the ruling following the completion of arguments from both sides’ lawyers.
The police have arrested the primary suspects allegedly involved in the kidnapping of acclaimed playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar in Lahore.
The lead suspect, identified as Amna, along with three accomplices, was detained in Nankana Sahib. These individuals are accused of orchestrating the kidnapping and theft of Khalilur Rehman on July 15.

According to the police, Amna, who posed as a British citizen, lured Qamar to the location where he was abducted. She and her accomplices then kidnapped him, stole a significant amount of cash, his mobile phone, and a valuable watch. After the robbery, they left him at an undisclosed location, threatening to kill him if he reported the crime.
The police revealed that Amna has a history of similar criminal activities. Her method typically involves deceiving victims by pretending to be a British citizen, gaining their trust, and then executing the robbery with the help of her associates.
