Supreme Court Hit by Computer Theft: Two Employees Under Scrutiny
Islamabad-Two computers were stolen from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, prompting the Director of IT at the Supreme Court to file a complaint with the Police Station Secretariat.
The FIR reveals that CCTV footage showed suspicious behavior by two employees. The stolen computers, which were purchased in June and stored in room 306, were part of a batch of 131 computers bought from a private company.
Zahid Iqbal, the driver for the Secretary to the Chief Justice, has been arrested in connection with the theft. Meanwhile, police are conducting raids to locate junior clerk Faisal Khan, who is currently a deputy messenger at the Supreme Court. Faisal Khan had previously been dismissed from his position but was reinstated following a departmental appeal.
The case was registered on September 6, and Zahid Iqbal was subsequently arrested.
