Peshawar-Students Forced to Sit on Floor: Peshawar Teachers Suspended. Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have suspended teachers from three government primary schools in Peshawar after discovering that students were forced to sit on the floor despite available funds for basic facilities.
The District Education Officer (DEO) Peshawar took action after schools resumed following the summer break. The DEO expressed frustration over the absence of essential amenities for students, despite the funds allocated for this purpose.

The DEO noted that although there was a budget of Rs. 50,000, no mats or carpets had been provided, resulting in students sitting on the floor.
The teachers suspended are from Government Primary Schools No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5. A formal investigation has been initiated by the DEO, who emphasized that students should not be lacking basic amenities at the start of the academic year.
