Sohail Afridi Chief Minister KP Vows to Stay Until Imran’s Order

Sohail Afridi Chief Minister KP Stands Firm Amid PTI Internal Crisis

CM KP – Sohail Afridi chief minister KP made it clear on Tuesday that he is not going anywhere. Speaking in Rawalpindi, he said he will stay in his position until jailed PTI founder Imran Khan personally directs him to step down.

Afridi quoted Imran Khan directly, saying the PTI founder had stated that no force in the world can remove Sohail Afridi from the chief minister’s seat. He added that until a fresh message arrives from Khan, he remains fully in charge of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The statement comes at a time when PTI’s KP chapter is going through serious internal trouble. Around 30 MPAs skipped a parliamentary meeting called by CM Afridi last Sunday. Political observers saw this as a clear sign of growing rebellion inside the party.

Several senior PTI figures are reportedly pushing hard to take Afridi’s seat. The behind-the-scenes race for the chief ministership has pushed the political temperature in KP to a new high.

However, CM Afridi brushed aside all such reports. He called the forward bloc talk pure “propaganda” and said it is being spread to distract people ahead of the federal budget announcement.

On another front, Afridi called for Imran Khan to be moved to Shifa International Hospital for proper medical care. He also urged authorities to at least allow Khan’s family members to visit him.

Regarding the KP budget, Afridi confirmed the provincial cabinet has approved the budget papers. He said the focus will be on health, education, agriculture, youth, and forests — not a surplus budget, but a people-first one.

To ease the internal tensions, PTI has formed a six-member committee led by former speaker Asad Qaiser. The panel includes KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati and Provincial General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan. Its job is to rebuild communication between MPAs, the parliamentary party, and the provincial government.
