Six TTP Terrorists Eliminated in CTD Intelligence Operation

PESHAWAR: Six hardened terrorists were killed during a joint operation conducted by local police and the Counter-Terrorism Department in the Kohat region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the District Police Officer of Kohat, the militants belonged to the banned Fitna-al-Khawarij group. They were neutralised during an intelligence-based operation carried out by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter Terrorism Department in Lakki Marwat on Saturday.

Following the encounter, police teams sealed the surrounding area and launched a search operation to locate and arrest any accomplices linked to the militants.

Earlier the same day, CTD officials had targeted terrorists associated with Fitna-al-Khawarij — a term used by the state for members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). These militants were reportedly involved in the martyrdom of seven police officers.
