Sindh Approves New College Admission Policy
According to officials, a notification issued on Friday outlines the complete schedule and process.
ISLAMABAD: The College Education Department of Sindh has formally approved a new admission policy allowing students to enroll in Class XI based on their Class IX examination results for the academic year 2025-26. This decision applies to government colleges participating in the Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Programme (SECCAP).
According to officials, a notification issued on Friday outlines the complete schedule and process. Online applications will be accepted via the SECCAP portal (www.seccap.dges.gos.pk) starting from June 15, 2025, with the submission deadline set for July 15, 2025. The placement lists for all academic streams will be published by July 22, while classes for Class XII will commence on August 1, and for Class XI on August 5.
The notification further confirms that the College Zone System will remain in effect for the Karachi region. Under this system, students will generally be admitted to colleges within their designated zones. However, students who have secured A+ or A grades will be eligible to apply to any college of their choice, while those with grades B through E must apply within their allocated zones.
Regional Directors of Colleges in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana will oversee the admissions process in their respective divisions. The Director General of Colleges, Sindh, will supervise the province-wide process.
Admissions will be granted based on Class IX/O Level Part-I results. The IT section of the Directorate General of Colleges will be responsible for preparing the gender- and faculty-wise placement lists, subject to approval by the Chairman of the SECCAP Committee 2025-26.
To address any student concerns after the placement lists are published, dedicated claim centers for male and female students will be set up across the province.

Students who were previously enrolled in HSC or FSC and wish to apply again must first cancel their earlier board enrollment and SECCAP admission. Only after this formal cancellation can they reapply for admission for the 2025-26 academic session.
Additionally, candidates with a gap of more than five years since their last enrollment will not be eligible to apply under this year’s SECCAP initiative.
