Shoriful Seven-Fer Restricts Australia to 210 in Second Test

Bangladesh Continue Their Dominance After Shoriful's Stunning Seven-Wicket Haul

DHAKA: (Sports Desk) – Shoriful Islam claimed a career-best seven wickets for 48 runs as Bangladesh continued to impress against Australia in the second Test on Sunday, with the hosts dismissed for 210 in their first innings.

Resuming on 165-8 after Bangladesh were bowled out for just 64, Australia added only 45 runs before losing their final two wickets. Cameron Green provided the main resistance with a valuable 67, while Steve Smith contributed 42 and Nathan Lyon remained unbeaten on 32.

Shoriful produced the standout bowling performance, recording the best figures of his Test career and the finest return by a Bangladesh bowler in an away Test. His spell kept Australia from building a significant lead.

Australia finished 146 runs ahead, but Bangladesh will take confidence from another strong bowling display after their stunning nine-wicket victory in the opening Test in Darwin.
