SHO suspended after accusing IG Sindh of corruption

KARACHI: The SHO of Zaman Town has been suspended for accusing IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon of corruption, here on Monday.

In a statement issued by SSP Korangi Touheed Rehman Memon, it has been said that SHO Muhammad Ashraf Awan of Zaman Town police station of Korangi district has been demoted from the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector and suspended immediately pending an inquiry into his actions. is given

According to the official notification, during the suspension, Officer Muhammad Ashraf will continue to receive his salary and allowances and will be required to attend daily roll calls at SSP District Korangi.

The statement did not specify the reason for such strict action.

According to media reports, the SHO has alleged that IG Sindh Police is accepting bribes for Gutka and Mawa business.

Korangi Police Spokesperson said that SSP Tauheed Rehman Memon took notice of the news broadcast by a private TV channel and held SHO Zaman Town responsible for the allegations.
