Shaheen Afridi Inspired by Starc, Aiming to Meet Soon

Islamabad: Pakistan cricket team’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has described Mitchell Starc as his cricket role model, saying he is looking forward to meeting Starc very soon.

Shaheen said that whenever he played against Australia, he had good conversations with Starc, and Starc always encouraged him. Shaheen further said that he once told Starc that he was inspired by his spell in the 2015 Cricket World Cup, after which he started following him.

In recent years, Starc has not only broken Wasim Akram’s records but has also proven to be a role model for new fast bowlers. According to Shaheen, Starc’s ability to bowl at 140 km/h or more motivates young players.

Shaheen added that Starc also praised Wasim Akram, calling him one of the best, which helps young cricketers understand the importance of hard work and dedication in the sport.
