Security Sources Reject False Shawal Operation Casualty Reports

Six Militants Killed During Ongoing Shawal Border Operation: Security Sources

RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – Shawal security sources have rejected social media reports claiming that seven Pakistani soldiers were martyred during a military operation against militants attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to security officials, the circulating reports are false and misleading. They clarified that the intelligence-based operation (IBO) was launched against militants operating in the border region of South Waziristan.

During the ongoing operation, security forces successfully killed six militants involved in the infiltration attempt.

Officials stated that the operation is still underway, while security personnel have completely surrounded the area to eliminate any remaining threats.

ISPR Strongly Rejects Indian Army Chief’s Provocative Remarks

The region lies along the Pakistan-Afghanistan international border, which has remained sensitive due to recurring militant activities and infiltration attempts.

Security authorities believe that such cross-border activities are linked to militant networks operating from across the border in Afghanistan.
