Security Forces Neutralize 3 Terrorists in Counterattack Following Attacks on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

DI Khan: In a swift response to coordinated attacks on security forces and police vans in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, three terrorists were neutralized in retaliatory gunfire.

According to police reports, the incident unfolded in D.I. Khan when three militants on motorcycles attempted to halt a joint security forces and police checkpoint. Ignoring warnings, they opened fire indiscriminately, prompting the forces to retaliate, resulting in the elimination of all attackers.

The joint checkpoint was established based on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists, particularly in the vicinity where Additional Sessions Judge Shaukat Allah Marwat was abducted days earlier.

Following the encounter, authorities recovered a cache of weapons from the slain terrorists, including 9 hand grenades, Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, various mobile phones, and a significant amount of ammunition.

In a separate incident, armed assailants attacked a police van with unknown intentions. Reportedly, they targeted the vehicle of DSP Syed Marjan. The attackers initiated the assault in the Guldar Khel area, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Reinforcements were swiftly dispatched to the scene as the area remains under heavy police presence and investigation.
