Iran Rejects US Nuclear Policy Warns of Strong Regional Response
TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly rejected the United States’ stance on Tehran’s nuclear programme, asserting that Washington has no grounds to deny Iran its nuclear rights, according to 24NewsHD TV.
In his statement, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran does not seek escalation or confrontation, insisting the country has neither initiated conflicts nor desires further regional tensions. He said Tehran’s approach is based on self-defence and a desire to end disputes with dignity while safeguarding its national interests.
The Iranian president also commented on developments involving Iranian citizens abroad, noting that while some individuals had resisted external pressure, others who were misled are expected to return home.

Separately, senior Iranian leadership figures issued strong warnings amid rising regional tensions. The Supreme Leader highlighted Iran’s continued “resistance” and warned of a decisive response in the event of renewed hostilities, praising the country’s armed forces for their performance and resilience against external pressure.
Military officials echoed similar sentiments, cautioning that any renewed aggression could trigger a wider conflict. They claimed Iran is prepared with advanced missile capabilities and would respond forcefully if attacked.
In parallel, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said Tehran prefers to keep strategic waterways like the Strait of Hormuz open, but accused Washington of undermining diplomatic progress. He criticized contradictory US statements and said Iran entered talks in good faith but is now adopting a more cautious stance.
He further warned that the global balance of power is shifting and stated that any future conflict would be met with a strong and comprehensive response from Iran.
