Security Forces Achieve Significant Success Against Terrorism in Balochistan

The Security Forces’ ongoing operations in Balochistan are a testament to their resolve in combating terrorism and securing the nation’s borders.

Rawalpindi: In a continued effort to combat terrorism, Pakistan’s Security Forces have made substantial progress in operations against terrorist elements infiltrating from Afghan soil. Over the past month, these operations have been concentrated in the general area of Sambaza in Zhob District, Balochistan.

Since the commencement of these operations on 21 April 2024, effective engagements have led to the neutralization of 29 terrorists. This decisive action underscores the commitment of Pakistan’s Security Forces to protect the nation’s borders and ensure the safety of its citizens.

A notable event in this series of operations occurred on 14 May 2024, during an intelligence-based operation. Maj Babar Khan, displaying extraordinary bravery, embraced martyrdom while valiantly fighting against the terrorists. His sacrifice highlights the relentless spirit and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in the face of terrorism.

The surge in terrorist activities originating from Afghan territory has been a significant concern. These terrorists have attempted to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, targeting both Security Forces and innocent civilians. Pakistan has consistently urged the Interim Afghan Government to take effective measures for border management to prevent the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for launching attacks against Pakistan.
