Peshawar Administration Imposes Section 144 to Ensure Safe and Peaceful Eid Celebrations

Peshawar – (Web Desk) – Deputy Commissioner Capt ® Sanaullah Khan announced on Monday that Section 144 has been imposed in Peshawar. The move is to keep law and order during Eid al-Fitr.

Authorities have banned carrying weapons, firing guns in the air, and using or selling fireworks. Motorcyclists must avoid stunts, overspeeding, and riding without helmets. Overloading boats and unsafe rides at amusement parks are also not allowed.

The restrictions aim to ensure everyone can celebrate safely and peacefully.

Swimming or bathing in dams and rivers without life jackets is forbidden, and the use of heavy bikes with double or high silencers, as well as sports cars, is prohibited.

The administration warned that violators will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code and urged citizens to cooperate to ensure a safe and peaceful Eid.
