KURRAM: A convoy of 40 trucks carrying essential relief supplies reached Kurram district on Wednesday, after a 94-day road closure due to violent clashes. The convoy, sent by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, included food, medicine, and other necessities. Ten trucks went to Bagan, and 30 arrived in Parachinar.
Deputy Commissioner Kurram, Ashfaq Khan, called it a significant step toward restoring peace. The convoy’s journey was secured with heavy security and aerial monitoring. Negotiations with local protesters, aided by the Grand Jirga and Kurram Peace Committee, paved the way for the operation.
