Rawalpindi Court Grants Physical Remand for PTI Protest Detainees

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi sanctioned a four-day remand physical remand for the 676 people arrested during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests on November 24.
The ruling by the Rawalpindi court followed an extensive hearing that spanned more than seven hours.
The oversaw the session as detainees from the Hassan Abdal Police Station were presented . A total of 682 people brought before the court, with law enforcement authorities seeking physical remand for the majority.
The court approved the four-day remand for 676 detainees, while four others were remanded to the notorious Adiala Jail. Two others were released from the case.

The court has scheduled a follow-up appearance for those granted physical remand on December 7, as proceedings continue.
